Spiritual Exploration

So, I'm not going to get all religious, or try to convert you in any way - that would be very unethical and against my principles as a counsellor.

However, this might an opportunity to consider and reflect on a variety of spiritual or related questions. It may be you have a formal or regluar spiritual practice, it may be that you want to explore questions that include 'who am I?', 'what is my life about?', or questions of meaning, purpose or direction.

I've taught and had training in this area, which has various names, and have decided to offer this as part of my wider practice around wellbeing, questions of development, and what might be thought of as 'deeper' quesitons.

If you have a regular religious or faith-based practice, I would be very willing to work within that framework and way of life, equally if you have an interest in spirituality but no formal faith, or if you want to explore questions of meaning or purpose, we can do that.

Some come into counselling thinking it has to be about problems, which it often is, but it can be an exploration of your life and how you want to live.

Reflective

This is a way of working which would benefit from having time to work between sessions. There are a variety of exercises that can be very helpful in our expoloration

Creative

There are a number of what are called creative approaches we might use, these could be in the session, or between sessions. Examples of this would include the writing approaches I use, but also art based journalling, using objects such as stones or Lego, all of which can help us deepen the exploration.
